Mad Catz S.T.R.I.K.E. 11 Mechanical Keyboard Impressions

Mad Catz Strike 11 Keyboard. A keyboard with red and black keys

I have been on the search for a decently priced wireless keyboard and there is no shortage these days. Our friends over at Mad Catz sent over their S.T.R.I.K.E. 11 mechanical keyboard for us to try out. The first thing you will notice is its unique design. The red and black colorway is striking (no pun intended) but not too much. The space key pops with Mad Catz’s signature claw design and there is some nice gold detailing with additional branding that looks great against the black metal.

From the technical side, the Strike 11 keyboard sports Hotswappable Mad Catz mechanical red switches. My typing experience has been great. The key travel is smooth and not too loud or overly clicky. The frame is made from aluminum and has a good weight so the keyboard doesn’t move easily around the desk. There is also no added sound from its aluminum construction. Like most modern keyboards, you need customizable RBG backlights. I decided to go with a more tame white backlight but your options are unlimited. Check out some of the other tech specs below.

  • Tri-mode connectivity (wired/2.4 GHz wireless/Bluetooth 5.0)
  • 100-key compact design form factor
  • CNC aluminum frame
  • Hot-swappable Mad Catz mechanical red switches
  • 16.8 million per-key RGB lighting
  • Up to 30 hours of playtime
  • NKRO and 100% anti-ghosting

When it comes to connectivity, the Strike 11 keyboard has 3 options. For hardcore gamers, you can connect your device via an included USB-C cable. This guarantees the lowest amount of latency between button press and on-screen action. There is also an included 2.4 GHz wireless dongle and integrated Bluetooth 5.0. This allows you to connect to multiple devices without any hassle.

If you are looking for more details about the S.T.R.I.K.E. 11 wireless keyboard, you can head over to the Mad Catz Site.
